Discuss the novel Antarctica

Comments

Dear KSR, In your novel “S.O.S Antarctica” you wrote (I quote):

“The human brain grew from about three hundred cubic millimeters to about fifteen hundred cubic millimeters during the time that we were living the lives of nomads, carrying our homes across the surface of this world”.

I think - by writing this - you were referring to the Americans who once elected (for example) RW Reagan, GW Bush or DJ Trump, rather than those who wrote (and read) the Robot series sagas, Ender's Game series or Mars Trilogy…

In France, your translator has therefore faithfully (and stupidly) transcribed your error (page 126) as « Trois cents millimètres cubes à près de mille cinq cents millimètres cubes ».

It is of course cubic centimeter (centimètres cubes) … in any case for the measurement of our French brains 1000 times larger!
